Within 24 hours of Saturday's loss of the space shuttle, Columbia, and its crew of seven,
NASA announced there would be an independent investigation into the disaster and Congress
announced it will do its own investigation. Yet, 18 months after the 9/11 attacks, there
still has not been one official investigation.
Not to diminish the loss of seven astronauts and what that means to their families and
NASA, but the families of the nearly 3,000 victims of 9/11 and all Americans are entitled
to an investigation to answer, among others, these questions:
Who, if anyone, flew the four hijacked commercial airliners? From what we know, the
alleged 19 hijackers were incapable of flying such planes.
There is evidence that the hijackers were using forged identities, so who were they?
When the hijackings became evident, why was standard procedure not followed in scrambling
military intercept planes?
Who ordered the intercept planes to stand down?
Did the perpetrators get more than they expected when the World Trade Center towers
collapsed?
Did the Twin Towers collapse because the impact of the planes caused the floor supports to
pull away from the upright supports, causing the buildings to pancake, or, as some have
suggested, were explosives planted at strategic points in the towers to cause them to
implode?
Why are the families and their lawyers being denied all the records pertaining to the
construction of the towers?
Why did George W. Bush's brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, issue an order placing the
Sunshine State under a state of emergency four days before the attacks?
Why was Dick Cheney given Cipro before being spirited off to a bunker on 9/11, seven days
before the first envelopes contaminated with anthrax were received by NBC in New York and
the New York Post?
Why has the FBI not found who was responsible for the anthrax attacks when it is known the
substance came from Fort Detrick in Maryland?
Why were all the warnings from foreign intelligence agencies ignored?
What did George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and John Ashcroft know and when did
they know it?
